Georgia Bosson
I am a textile and product designer based in Bermondsey. After completing my Embroidery degree in Manchester I moved back to London where I have had the opportunity to work on several large scale commissions such as; The Floating Cinema which, was commissioned as part of the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games, I also worked on The Times Newseum, an exhibition celebrating the history of journalism, which opened at the Cheltenham Literary Festival and will be going on tour later this year.
In addition to these projects I also have a product range which launched in March 2013 and continues to grow and develop, everything within the range is designed and made in my Bermondsey studio.
The products that I make are contemporary, colourful and tactile, often incorporating modern making techniques alongside more traditional processes.
My range currently includes; Screen printed tea towels, cards, cushions and hand-bound notebooks, as well as limited edition cushions developed using felt skeletons and embroidery techniques.
Everything is handmade in my Bermondsey studio.
