Pop Art City
London based photographer Keith van Loen sets out his background and the path to PopArt City."I first picked up a camera aged nine. When a career in engineering took my life in another direction it seemed that my first love might never be fully realised. But a breakthrough moment came when I first saw the image emerge in a darkroom developer tray, this re-ignited the spark and my determination to become a photographer.I haven’t looked back since. My engineering background helps to form a structured style that lends itself to images based on four principles- colour, detail, dynamic space and narrative.Whilst a passion for architecture and interior design informs my current work, my commercial eye has allowed me to work with a variety of clients on a diverse series of projects. The key to my success is his focus on every part of the process – from connecting with his clients, understanding the workspace to image capture and digital manipulation.I apply a real passion for creating images, and never tire of the journey."
